Your Headshot is Your Calling Card

My Story as an Actor

It began as a sixteen-year old with no prior interest in acting that had a crazy thought after watching Leonardo DiCaprio in The RevenantI want to be an actor.” Today, I have been taking classes for over four years and have acted in various film projects. I have a passion for telling stories through a visual medium and aspire to make it my full-time career. For now, I’m always looking for my next opportunity and am hoping to help other actors do the same. Check Out My IMDb.

My Approach as a Photographer

The cornerstone of an actor’s marketing materials. Acting headshots should portray an actor’s essence, your unique set of attributes as an individual. My approach to acting headshots stems in collaboration with the intent to capture your individual essence through various stylistic elements, like color choice and lighting contrast, and the depth of your emotional range and personality. Together, we’ll create an image that sets you apart from the sea of others.

Your Types

These are the types of characters you could play based on gender, age, and look. This means that a twenty year-old male could play a nerd, popular kid, jock, slacker, etc. It’s essential to understand your casting types going into your session in order to properly communicate the types of characters you could play through your headshots.

Your Brand

This is where you come in. This could be defined as your unique set of attributes that set you apart from the crowd. I like to view your brand as your personal take on your character types. There are many people that could play a nerd, popular kid, jock, or slacker, but there isn’t anyone else that could do it the same as you. Our goal is to identify and define your brand.

Cinematic Makeup

This is a light makeup that’s intended to be flattering under bright photographic lighting. It will cover up any blemishes, even out skin tone, and reduce oil build-up on the face. I highly recommend cinematic makeup for men and women as it can be a relaxing way to start your session and give you a little extra confidence boost, as well.

Actors’ Branding Consultation

A thirty minute pre-shoot meeting with the intention of getting specific about your character types and brand. We’ll work together to find the types of characters that you are most likely to be cast as and to identify your unique way of portraying those characters. This will create a personalized blueprint for choosing character-based outfits, creating emotional events, and a highly-specific marketing plan going into your session.

Marketing Materials Review

After your headshot session, we’ll analyze your marketing materials to prepare your package for submitting to managers and agents. We’ll assess your new headshots, demo reel, and casting profiles on websites like Actors’ Access and Casting Networks. Then, we’ll identify strengths and find potential solutions for weaknesses. You’ll leave with a plan to create your own high-quality acting package.
